Well, we have hit a new all-time low. Or high, depending on how you look at it. We made s'mores using the hairdryer.
Today Haley received a 16 pound package in the mail from her mom, which basically had the contents of a small grocery store inside. I don’t know if by coincidence or not, but the ingredients to make s'mores were in the box (along with Cheez-Its, Goldfish, Reeses, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, patterned stockings, magazines, granola bars, cheese crackers, the list goes on….thanks Mrs. Wayman!). So after playing a game of Farkle (a dice game that Haley brought) with us all four squished on Haley’s top bunk, we decided we should make the s'mores since all the lights in the house were out and Vicki didn’t seem to be stirring to make our dinner any time soon. So we each got a mallow, chocolate, and graham and posted Katrina up as lookout in case Vicki decided to make any moves.
I don’t think we are allowed to use the microwave, nor do we know how. Laura tried to mess with the different gadgets and nothing was getting hot. Then the microwave sparked all of the sudden and we got scared and evacuated. Laura got left in the dark and hit her shoulder on the wall.
We were left thinking…what else makes things hot? No one had a candle. But then one of us had the idea to use the hairdryer. So we all crowded around the hairdryer and it was actually working quite nicely until Vicki Jr. came home and walked in on us, and we looked really sketchy, so we gave up.
Random facts:
Today we played Farkle, a dice game that Haley brought along. We all sat on Haley’s top bunk and the grand prize winner won a Reese’s. Katrina won. Further proof that we are at camp.
One of Katrina’s extensions flew into my hair and got stuck today.
I started Flamenco class and learned the first few moves. It was kind of funny, but I’m not sure if I’m going to continue it.
